To his surprise, the Empress instead draws her sword, cuts him down, and rescues her son. With the heir safe and the Steel Chrysanthemum dead, the Clans fall into line as the Empress asserts her power over the Empire, becoming the firm ruler that she believes it needs. In addition, the character who has earned the most Imperialist Points during the game is rewarded with their own Minor Clan. The character with the most Traditionalist Points, meanwhile, is arrested as a traitor; the character and their family are executed as traitors, and their Family is stripped of their name as punishment.
