I think the thought of being on the wrong end of the Imperialist/Traditionalist scale is scary for most. It's death and worse for the person highest on the wrong side. And with this many Lion around that likely would want a Matsu Empress even if SC had done things without murder, it makes Imperialst feel like it's going to automatically win. But as said earlier, twists happen. For all we know, there could be events near end game that will flip the entire race on it's head and have people scrambling in the other direction.

There are all those votes we did for which clan supports which candidate - I would be pleasantly surprised if halfway through we thought it was Empress vs. Steely C. and then out of nowhere you get the likes of Seppun Kato and Otomo Jiro and some other dark horse names flying around. Chaos!

I'm half expecting some events like at RO, where lie great rewards, but you must back the other side. Or weighting like imperial successes outscore traditional successes 2 or even 3 to 1.
