Average travel rate for a person on foot is 20 miles per day, so probably around 120 on roads. Maybe more like 90 miles if you're doing as the crow flies.

I remember at Naga War we'd occassionally have like a "generic fight scene" threads for those who were not in events to show off a little and show that they're taking part in the fight/effort.

Is that something we could do here, or is most of the fighting taking place at/outside the walls? I feel like I have a poor idea of what exactly the fight looks like, except for mini-Toshigoku portal in Friendship Street, Bulls at the gate, and Gank Squad outside the walls...

Most of the fighting thus far as been outside the walls, with the Tsuno being the first enemy within the city.

Now that we're in siege time, I think such a thread is doable for the future.

Here's a thread people can use for the D10 battle.

Not that this applies directly to me, but:

Non-Brotherhood monks purchasing Kiho must pay one and a half time the Kiho's cost to learn it. In case of odd-numbered costs, is it rounded up or down?

Example: does Mastery Level 5 Kiho cost 7 (rounded down) or 8 (rounded up)?

I tried checking through the book, but I couldn't find a clear consensus on whether or not the game rounds up or down as a standard.

The 4E errata document specified that Kiho costs round down. I know not all those errata are in force in HT, though. Still, worth noting perhaps?

Quote:
ERRATA, 4TH EDITION CORE BOOK:
General clarification of rounding-off: Situations may arise where a number is halved. What happens when this is applied to an odd number? In most cases, the GM chooses, but there is one specific case where the numbers are always rounded down: When determining the XP cost of Kiho for non-Brotherhood monks.

Speaks Naga, sometimes. Carries: Jade pendant, walking staff, small pocketknife, divination coins. Padded jacket if working outdoors... maybe.

Fine enough for me.

How much do the Naga know about the naar shadar (aka the fire salamanders, what the Naga turn into if they go to the burning sands)

I'm going to say nothing? I believe they were cut off from the Akasha, neh?

More, knowing the legend of how they were cut off from the akasha, that we don't go the burning sands because of it.

'Something bad happened to them and we don't go there' would probably be the extent of it.

Seeing as the city is under siege, are the walls themselves especially dangerous to be on at the moment? I'd think there'd be defenders on them, but not sure how much they're getting shot at and such.

Yes, though not mechanically speaking.

Yes, though not mechanically speaking.

So they probably wouldn't want anyone up on the walls gawking or scouting things out in any unofficial capacity?
